Jeju (or Cheju) Island is a naturally-formed volcanic island on the Korean Strait, and part of South Korea. It is a popular tourism location among local Koreans and Japanese tourists alike, having been dubbed the “Island of the Gods”.

Jeju Island is known for its spectacular natural beauty in the form of flora-covered volcanic peaks, majestic water falls, and pristine beaches, making it a popular hiking, sightseeing, and beach destination. It is also one of the most popular romantic, honeymoon destinations for Korean tourists.

In the recent years, Jeju has also begun its restructuring as a formidable gaming destination in Asia, having opened it ports to Mainland China tourists, who may stay in the island visa-free for up to 15 days.

Visa Information

• Passport Holders from 104 countries can enter South Korea without a visa, ranging from 30 – 180 days, depending on the country of origin. See the complete list here.
• Regardless of citizenship or visa-exemptions that may apply, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months to be granted entry to South Korea.
• Passport holders from Mainland China can enter the island of Jeju visa-free for up to 30 days with a valid return ticket. If travelling by air to Jeju Island from Seoul, Busan, Cheongju, Muan, and Yangyang, Chinese citizens travelling as part of a tourist group by authorized travel agents may stay in Mainland South Korea for up to 15 days.
• Passport holders from Macau SAR may stay in Jeju Island visa-free for up to 30 days.
• Passport holders from Hong Kong SAR may stay in Jeju Island visa-free for up to 90 days.

Flight Information

3. Seoul is the capital of South Korea and home to the largest airport in South Korea, Incheon International Airport. A flight from Seoul to Jeju would cost about ¥176.
